The Hunters team has once again laced up their walking shoes in support of Mind, taking part in a 90 Miles in October challenge to raise awareness and funds for mental health.
Following the success of last year’s 10k Steps a Day challenge, our team was eager to get moving again, this time with a slightly easier but more accessible target. Each participant committed to walking 90 miles across the month of October, which meant averaging just under three miles a day. It was a brilliant way to encourage everyone to get outdoors, stay active, and make time for wellbeing during one of the busiest times of year.
From brisk morning walks to lunchtime laps and weekend countryside hikes, the Hunters team found creative ways to fit in the miles. Some colleagues formed mini walking groups to stay motivated, while others took on solo routes with podcasts and playlists for company. Even the rainy autumn weather couldn’t dampen spirits and there was plenty of friendly competition and encouragement along the way.
As always, the motivation behind the challenge was a serious one. Mind provides vital advice and support to anyone experiencing a mental health problem, and their work has never been more important. Taking part in the challenge gave our team the chance to focus on both physical and mental wellbeing while raising awareness for a cause close to so many of us.
We’re incredibly proud to share that together, Hunters raised over £5,500 for Mind through the challenge - a fantastic achievement that reflects the enthusiasm and generosity of our team, families, friends, and supporters across the industry.
A huge thank you to everyone who donated, shared our progress, or simply cheered us on.
Every mile helped us move closer to our fundraising goal and supported Mind in continuing their incredible work to ensure no one faces a mental health problem alone.
